Make your own.

Motive is a skill for your coding agent. It brings the drawing rules, animation code, and questions that went into these figures to your next idea.

Install the skill

Run this in your terminal and choose your coding agent when prompted.

You’ll need Node.js with npm, plus Python 3 to build the HTML file. The installer supports Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and other coding agents.

Start a new agent session after installation. View the skill on GitHub.

Describe an idea

Start with what you want to explain. You can leave the shapes and movement open.

$motive Show how independent teams find a shared rhythm.

In agents that don’t use the $motive shortcut, ask it to use the Motive skill.

Work through the meaning

“Connection” could mean separate sources merging, passing information, or moving together. The skill asks questions to work out which one you mean before drawing.

It proposes a few interpretations. Choose one, ask to see alternatives, or let the agent decide. Then watch the loop and tell it what feels off: a join that happens too quickly, a shape that moves too far, or an idea that doesn’t read.

Use the result

You get one HTML file with the animation and its controls inside. It opens in any modern browser, works offline, and starts in the Construction finish.

Pause the loop, adjust its intensity and speed, or switch to Graphite, Light, or Dark. The guide covers downloading and embedding.
